This page explains how DCM Consulting (operated by Dan Code-McNeil, the "we," "us," or "I") collects and uses information when you visit this website or engage me for advisory work.
What I collect
I try to collect as little as possible. The site itself is mostly static. I may collect the following:
- Contact information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, and company, when you book an intro call, email me, or message me on LinkedIn.
- Basic technical information that your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, user agent, and referring page, which may be used for security and to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
- Information you share during an engagement, such as documents, calls, deals, pipeline reviews, and any internal context you provide to inform the work.
How I use it
I use information to:
- Respond to inquiries and schedule meetings.
- Deliver the advisory work you've engaged me for.
- Improve the site and understand which content is useful.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Who else sees it
I do not sell personal information. I share information only with service providers I rely on to operate, and only to the extent they need it. Common examples include:
- Email and calendar (Google Workspace) to communicate and schedule.
- Booking and scheduling tools used to set up intro calls.
- Document storage and notes tools I use to keep client engagements organized.
I may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a minimal set of cookies or local storage, primarily to make the site work. If I add any analytics or marketing pixels in the future, this policy will be updated and you'll be able to opt out.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to confirm what I have on file about you, correct it, or delete it. Email dan@dcm.consulting and I'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy materially changes, I'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify clients directly.
